This vertical takes care of various Government initiatives with regards to skill and upgrading of the existing skills amongst the Indian youths. We are empanelled with various Government Agencies to be able to carry on the skilling work under their different schemes. They are
Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment & Ministry of Minority Affairs
Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is a Government of India ministry. It is responsible for welfare, social justice and empowerment of disadvantaged and marginalized sections of society, including scheduled castes, Other Backward Classes, the disabled, the elderly, and the victims of drug abuse.
Ministry of Minority Affairs is a ministry of the Government of India which was carved out of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and created on 29 January 2006.
Rehab Council of India ( RCI )
The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) was set up as a registered society in 1986. On September 1992 the RCI Act was enacted by Parliament and it became a Statutory Body on 22 June 1993. The mandate given to RCI is to regulate and monitor services given to persons with a disability, to standardize syllabi and to maintain a Central Rehabilitation Register of all qualified professionals and personnel working in the field of Rehabilitation and Special Education. The Act also prescribes punitive action against unqualified persons delivering services to persons with disability.
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a not-for-profit public limited company incorporated on July 31, 2008, under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (corresponding to section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013). NSDC was set up by the Ministry of Finance as Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The Government of India through Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) holds 49% of the share capital of NSDC, while the private sector has the balance of 51% of the share capital. NSDC aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality and for-profit vocational institutions.
The very first project known as Cybermitra has already been awarded to Narayana Foundation.
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY)
The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) announced the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) Antyodaya Diwas, on 25th September 2014. DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth.
DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families. As a part of the Skill India campaign, it plays an instrumental role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like the Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns.
Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (Department of Education, Government of Gujarat)
It is a robust platform for the extensive sharing and dissemination of knowledge across all stakeholders of education in general and higher education in particular. It acts as a think tank for various educations related changes that can be undertaken in the sector.
Narayana Foundation proposed a role-based 305 hours Digital Marketing Program to Government of Gujarat and the same has already been allotted for 55 Government Colleges.
The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development
The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED)-A Government of Gujarat Organisation is the 1st of this kind in the country, established in 1979, engaged in promoting Entrepreneurship and Skill across the state of Gujarat.
The concept behind CED is to develop entrepreneurs in the urban as well as rural areas of the state, who can establish their own Enterprise (Trading/Service/Manufacturing) which in turn aids in the economic growth of the state and also creates employment opportunities for others.
National Testing Agency
National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions.
To assess the competence of candidates for admissions and recruitment has always been a challenge in terms of matching with research based international standards, efficiency, transparency and error-free delivery. The National Testing Agency is entrusted to address all such issues using best in every field, from test preparation, to test delivery and to test marking.
